Unlock and staff a Courier Building

The Courier Building handles automated deliveries. Its service can also automate repairs when the required materials are available.

  1. Buy Courier Delivery Service

Courier Delivery Service is in ET Tier 3. The later ET Tier 7 Automation Service pack is another way to obtain it.

  2. Open Build: Town Centre > Services

The building costs 150 Coins and requires 3 Fiber Boards plus 2 Metal Beams.

  3. Connect both access types

Place the 3×3 building on ground with the required road and footpath connections. It cannot be rotated.

  4. Assign a Townie

A new Courier Building starts with one worker slot. Expanded Job Slots at ET Tier 5 and Tier 9 raise the total to three.

Courier fixes already shipped

  • PC hotfix 1.0.26228 fixed couriers favoring one item type until a nearly full destination prevented other deliveries.
  • The same PC hotfix fixed abandoned courier vehicles.
  • The September 2 Nintendo update addressed stuck couriers.

Check storage and harvesting before blaming deliveries

PC 1.0.26502 fixed Storage Area bins failing to register or deregister correctly with industries after being moved.

The same build changed how workers return tools after putting items away, addressing a case where a worker holding a fishing rod would not harvest crab pots. Auto Forager actions for crab and lobster pots also received attention.

If the missing stock should come from those pots, check whether it is being harvested. A courier cannot deliver goods that have not reached storage.

What players are observing

If a courier walks but still completes deliveries, separate that from a missing-delivery problem. Adding workers is not a reliable way to force extra trucks to appear.

Walking couriers have been reported, but the exact vehicle-assignment rules have not been verified for the current build. Measure whether goods arrive before rebuilding the Courier Building.

A delivery experiment you can run

Try one short route with a single item. This is a troubleshooting check, not a guaranteed fix.

  1. Choose one item and one empty destination

Use a shop, crafter, construction pallet, or filtered storage that clearly accepts the item and still has capacity.

  2. Put that item in a nearby source storage

Use an already-finished item so the test does not depend on a worker, recipe, or missing ingredient.

  3. Check the complete route

Confirm the Courier Building, source, and destination all connect through the required road and footpath network.

  4. Watch one assigned courier

If the item moves, the unlock and basic access are working. The original problem is more likely distance, competing demand, or stock availability.

  5. If the item still does not move

Check the worker assignment, accepted item filter, free capacity and connections.

If the short route works but the town is still slow

  • Move source storage closer to its producer and destination storage closer to the shop or crafter it serves.
  • Split distant industries instead of asking one central courier hub to cover every edge of the map.
  • Use locked or filtered storage where several destinations compete for the same item.
  • Add job slots only after the first courier completes the route; another worker cannot create missing stock or repair disconnected access.
  • For workers traveling on foot, try subway stations or the community-suggested boost pads on long paths.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I unlock couriers in Go-Go Town?

Buy ET Tier 3: Courier Delivery Service, build the Courier Building from Town Centre > Services and assign a Townie. ET Tier 7 Automation Service is another route.

How many couriers fit in one Courier Building?

One worker at first. Expanded Job Slots at ET Tier 5 and Tier 9 raise capacity to three.

Why are my Go-Go Town couriers walking?

Walking alone does not tell you whether a delivery has failed. Check whether goods arrive. The current truck-assignment rules have not been verified, so do not rebuild solely to make every courier drive.
