What is verified for the 1.0 Townies list
The names and conditions below were checked against the official Go-Go Town Wiki on September 4, 2026. The current roster contains 108 Townies. Some rank fields are still blank or uncertain in that source, so a question mark here means the guide will not invent a requirement.
The older Steam checklist contains 76 Early Access Townies and is useful only as a historical cross-check. It is not the source for the 1.0 count. If a future patch changes a quest, the in-game Collections App and character dialogue take priority.
How Townie recruitment quests work
- Build: keep the requested buildings or decorations placed at the same time; deleting and rebuilding the same object does not add another count.
- Buy, Craft, Pay, or Sell: obtain, make, pay, or sell the requested quantity.
- Discover: find the named object or location before returning to the character.
- Other: follow the specific request, such as a high five, catch total, or clothing check.
Recruit these Townies in the right order
Several secret residents are links in a chain. If the later name never appears, work backward to the first unfinished requirement instead of waiting at the station.

The conditions most likely to look broken
- Build quests count the requested objects placed at the same time. Repeatedly deleting and rebuilding one object does not satisfy a quantity of two or more.
- Secret Townies are not all normal train tourists. Check their listed map and time before waiting for another arrival.
- Agent Peanut, Agent Peppermint, and Agent Toffee require the #1 Town Rankings milestone tied to the late challenge sequence.
- Sweeny-Pin's 1am–7am window crosses the usual night and dawn labels; arriving only during evening hours is too early.
- A question mark beside a minimum tier comes from the official Wiki's unfinished 1.0 data. Treat the in-game hint as the final answer if it differs.
- PC hotfix 1.0.26228 increased Muggsy's chance to spawn from the Train Station. It did not guarantee that Muggsy appears on every train.

How many Townies are in Go-Go Town 1.0?
The official Wiki lists 108 Townies: 74 tourist recruits, 29 secret Townies, and five Jailbreak Townies.
Why is a Townie not appearing at the train station?
Check the minimum tier, ranking or prerequisite Townie, location and time requirements in the tables. Secret Townies do not all enter the normal tourist pool.
Do I need housing before recruiting a Townie?
Complete the character's recruitment request first. You need available housing to settle recruited Townies and use them as permanent workers.
