A city builder where the mayor does the work

TownCo. puts the player in charge of a run-down tourist town. You repair and construct buildings, lay out roads, create shops, and manage the infrastructure needed to keep visitors moving through town.

The mayor also performs the early work directly. Tools such as chainsaws, drills, fishing gear, trimmers, and leaf blowers are used to gather resources and maintain the town before more jobs are handed to residents.

The core loop: build, recruit, automate, expand

  1. Build a place tourists can use

Create roads, shops, services, decorations, and the production areas that supply them.

  2. Turn visitors into Townies

Satisfied tourists can be invited to live in town, given housing, and assigned to jobs.

  3. Automate the supply chain

Workers gather and process materials, couriers move stock, and maintenance staff handle town upkeep.

  4. Unlock more of the town

Challenges and EGO Tech open new systems, building options, production chains, and areas.

Solo, co-op and Creative Mode

Solo play gives one mayor control of every layout and management decision. On PC, local and online players can be mixed for up to four players; the Nintendo store lists up to two players for its version.

Version 1.0 also includes Creative Mode for building with fewer economy constraints. It is separate from the standard progression experience built around Coins, EGO Tech, Townies, and challenges.
